Day 3-4: Yosemite national park

Hi guys

Day two and three have already flown by so quickly! The past to days we visited the Yosemite national park and it was absolutely stunning! Nothing like I have ever seen before. The giant rocks that frame the land and trees that go with it are just breathtaking. It’s the perfect proportion of trees and rocks.

The first day we arrived around noon and we went for a little trip to the giant sequoia trees. These trees were the biggest I had ever seen and that I probably will see in my life. Everything around there in the forest was so peaceful an quiet, you could really come alive there. After this little trip we returned back to the hotel, had dinner and went to bed.

The next day was a longer trip because we had to pass through the entire park. We started our day by visiting the Yosemite village and went on a hike to see the Vernal fall. There were three kinds of hikes, with three levels of difficulty. We chose the first and easiest one, they said that you could see the waterfall fine from up there. But after an exhausting hike up the mountain and arriving to our first stop you could barely see it. I was really disappointed by that, but I couldn't go up any higher.

After our hike back down we had something to eat and left the village to this really pretty lake of which I can’t remember the name. We had a little stop there and continued our trip to the next stop, which was Mono lake. After the lake we drove to the hotel and went to bed because we were all very tired.

Talk to you later

Day 1-2: San Francisco

Hi guys

Sorry for not posting the last few days, but I was really tired because of the jetlag and the very busy organization. There also was very bad wifi in the hotels we were staying at. But I am back on track now!

The first stop we had was one and a half day in San Francisco. It’s such a big city so we wanted to see as much as possible.
We arrived around noon and went straight to our hotel to drop our luggage of and start wandering around. We hadn’t a lot planned but it was still a lot of walking. Because it was very hard to park your car in the city, we had to take the bus and walk a lot. Taking the bus wasn’t always as easy but a lot of people were willing to help us. The kindness of all these people really amazed me.

The first thing we saw was this really cool street full of art. I like things like this because this way artists can express their feelings and create what they want. After that we went up and down the street and walked into some cute shops. I had a really hard time not buying everything in the shops, everything was so pretty. By the end of the day we returned to our hotel.

For our flight here and walking around the city I wore my levi’s pants, a shirt and my nike shoes. This was really comfortable to wear on the plane and to walk because it was all really loose.

A little piece of the art street

The second day we visited Fishermans wharf, this wasn’t really a hit for me, but I really liked pier 39. This was a really cute lane where you could walk up and down and there you could find all sorts of shops. You could also see all the seals sitting on a platform. In the afternoon we visited Lombard street or the crooked street. And after that we drove up to the golden gate bridge.
In the evening we went to Chinatown and union square. Chinatown I didn’t really like but that was probably because I was really tired.

In the beginning of the day I was wearing a pants from h&m, a t-shirt and my jean jacket. But when we arrived at Fishermans wharf I was freezing so we had to buy a sweater.

The next post will be about the Yosemite national park which we visited the past two days and that will be up tomorrow if the wifi is good enough.
Hope you liked the first road trip post!

kisses

Update: Road trip!

Hi guys

I wanted to give you a little update on what's coming the next few weeks. My parents and I are going on a road trip through the west coast of America. I am super excited!! The only thing that makes me a little less excited is the fact that I am not going to be seeing my boyfriend for three weeks :(. I know that some people can handle long distance relationships, but we are used to seeing each other a few times a week. So this is going to be hard. Other than that I can't wait to see all the beautiful nature I am going to be seeing there.

I don't know all the places were going by heart, but I think I know all the states were going to: California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. If you are from America you will probably know what nature reserves we are going to be visiting, the most popular ones. You will be seeing a lot of post from there so I hope you're as excited as I am!

See you in America

Festival vibes

Hi guys

Finally I am back!! I had an amazing four days at the festival. As I already told you, we went with a whole group of friends. We were with 16!! I know it's a lot haha! We left very early to get a good spot at the campsite. With all of our luggage we stepped on the train and it was a mess! We had so much stuff that you couldn't even see us sitting there. Once we arrived we had to walk for a good 10 minutes until we arrived at the festival. I was exhausted!! We had to wait around half an hour to get our wristbands which we needed to get in.

Because we were such a large group we had to fight for a big place so that all of us could stay together! And yes there was fighting involved ;). No that's a joke, we had our place fairly quickly. And it was absolutely massive!! Once we were all settled in and our tents were set up, the fun could start!

The first day there weren't lot of artist because the festival hadn't really started yet. Only in the evening there was a party in one of the many rooms they had set up. In the afternoon we just chilled a bit at the campsite and when the night was starting to come around we went for our first party. I usually didn't stay that long because I didn't want to be in a bad mood the next day.

The second day the festival really started. We got up around eight or nine o'clock, had breakfast and talked about the things we had done the day before. Because we were such a big group we weren't always together. Then by the early afternoon we started to go to the festival. What I really liked was that the place we were sleeping was so close to the festival. That way when there wasn't really anything to do at the festival you could go back to the campsite. The rest of the day we went up and down the festival until it was time to go to bed.

The third day wasn't any different to the second. At the festival there were a lot of cool places! They really did a good job with decorating the place. You had 'Food wood' there you could find super tasty things! It was like a mini food village. There also was 'Baraque futur' and 'petit bazar'.

The fourth day there were still performances but I had to leave in the afternoon. When I got home I took a nice shower because that was necessary ;). There were showers at the campsite but the line to get in was too long for me. After the shower I went to bed and had a really good nap! I had an amazing time there and made a lot of new memories!

Sunny days

Hi guys

I know my last post was about slowly getting your fall wardrobe out, but today was such a lovely sunny day! I spend my day helping my dad installing something and the other part of my day I just sat by the pool enjoying the sun. I was wearing this very tropical bikini from Hunkemöller. It's a very comfortable swimsuit and I really like wearing it because of all the bright colors.

I love just spending the day at home, helping around with little chores and when there's nothing to do I would just sit by the pool and enjoy the sun.
The next couple of days I won't be posting anything because my friends and I are going to a festival and sadly there's no wifi. So you will be reading me on Sunday with lot's of pictures from the previous days!

Talk to you then

Love
